Jr. Gets a top 10
Even though all of us in Jr nation would have rather have seen him in victory lane, a top 10 to kick off the season after his 2 victories in speedweeks is a great start. Dale was the best finishing Hendrick car in the 9th position leaving him 8th in the Sprint Cup standings. Jeff Gordon was sent to the garage area with suspension problems while Jimmie Johnson and Casey Mears were both involved in some late race accidents. Let's see what happens next week in California.

I just thought I would take a little time to talk about the new Motorsports Authentics die-casts for any of you fans that might collect. Action and Team Caliber joined forces and are making some very impressive collectibles together. I've been collecting since the mid 90s' and they are by far the finest I've seen. I just got Dale's new 88 Amp in the 1/24 scale and it is amazing. The detail is great from the working roof-flaps to the fabric window net.

All Hendrick Teams Changed Engines
I just read a new report on nascar.com that Dale Jr. and his Hendrick Team-mates changed engines. This will make all 4 cars start at the back of their respective Twin 125s' Thursday. The teams found a problem with the valve lifters. It's not yet known if it is a defect in the material or the protective coating on them.

Stewart and Busch on Probation
Nascar decided to punish Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch for their behavior. They were placed on probation for the next six races. In my opinion Busch was immature for bumping into Tony the way he did. I think it's unfortunate that Tony's crew has to spend time to fix extra damage now.
